There are so many health benefits to omega-3 fatty acids and fresh, wild caught salmon is a great source of these important fats. Omega-3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory; help improve your brain power and mood and reduce your risk of heart disease.
While you still have your grill out, try my salmon skewers as an appetizer for your next party or just as part of your main meal. Super simple to make in less than 10 minutes!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 – 2 pounds of Wild Salmon (skin removed)
- 4 tablespoons avocado oil
- Coarse sea salt and ground pepper, to taste
- 8-10 wooden skewers
- Organic parsley
- 1 lemon
Directions:
Set oven temperature to broil (about 500 degrees F).
While that’s heating up, cut salmon into 2-inch squares.
Next, thread 4 pieces of salmon into each skewer.
Repeat this until you have filled up all the skewers.
Brush salmon with oil and sprinkle with sea salt and pepper. Place in baking sheet and broil in oven for about 5-6 minutes then turn over and broil for another 1-2 minutes or until salmon is opaque.
Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped parsley.
Before serving squeeze fresh lemon on each skewer.
Enjoy!
Makes 4-5 servings.
