It’s that time of year with pumpkin spice everything, but instead of going off to your local coffee shop or tea house to spend a lot of money on a drink, why not make your own delicious pumpkin spice chia smoothie at home?
Chia seeds are a great source of fiber, which helps maintain healthy flora and cinnamon and nutmeg also both help aid in digestion. Good for your palate, good for your gut!
Ingredients
- 6 ounces organic purée pumpkin
- 1 tablespoon raw honey
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon powder
- 8-10 ounces of unsweetened, coconut almond milk blend
- 2 tablespoon organic chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Lohan sweetener
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, alcohol free
- Pinch of fresh grated nutmeg
Directions
Place all ingredients in Vitamix or similar type blender. Blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth. Serve chilled.
Makes 1 serving.
