If you are like me and enjoy a cup of Joe in the morning, this twist on the traditional latte will add some spice and flavor to your regular coffee or latte.
Turmeric contains curcumin, which is a potent anti-inflammatory and ginger is one of nature’s best digestive aid. You can simmer longer if you like more froth in your latte.
Ingredients:
- 9 ounces of almond or coconut milk, unsweetened
- 1/4 teaspoon organic ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon grated, organic fresh ginger or powdered ginger
- 1 teaspoon organic, ground turmeric, fresh or dried works fine
- 1 teaspoon organic raw honey
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
In a small pot, over low heat, add almond/coconut milk and rest of ingredients.
Simmer on low for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently with a whisk.
Once it has come to a simmer and becomes slightly frothy, remove from heat and pour into mug.
Serve warm.
Makes 1 serving.
